CNC Turning
Our turning sections offer a diverse selection of market leading machine tools enabling us to produce complex components to extremely tight tolerances.
Our turning capabilities range from 1mm up to 400mm in diameter and up to 1000mm in length. We have bar feed capabilities of up to 80mm and in addition, lathes with live tooling. This allows us to provide high-speed milling on the lathe to reduce operations, and again reduce your costs.

With a variety of milling machines, including 2 Fanuc Robodrills and a Mazak VTC vertical machining centre we can machine any complex non-turned component.

Grinding
NR Engineering has invested in 3 Studer CNC grinding machines, working to tolerances of 0.002. We can grind internally, externally, angles, poppets and sleeves for matched assemblies.
We also have a range of conventional grinding machines, such as centreless, cylindrical grinding and surface grinding.

We have 4 Sunnen manual honing machines and 2 automatic Sunnen honing machine, working to tolerances of 0.004, using air gauging we can match components to each other, for example, hydraulic valve applications.

Eroding
As well as all our other precision machines, NR offers extreme accuracy with the use of our wire eroding machine. Achieving sizes within 0.01mm
We can also produce slots, punches & more desired shapes with our precision spark eroding machine.
